and to be honest the first couple of days when i tried to understand what deb files are and what rpm is and what tar.xz/gz i literally installed so much bloat and crap on the system which i had no idea how to remove i just reinstalled the entire OS, Just because i wanted to learn i tried again. In fact, in such case a clueless user would cause far more damage to the system by using a terminal or a package manager than downloading malware from some shady website. if you cant recognize nor have the minimum ability to check if the website you're visiting is legit or not. do we expect such people to ever open a terminal to do anything properly? this is a ridiculous premise. I understand all the security concerns in terms of malware that non technical people can go out downloading thinking its the program they need, but honestly.

There isn't any distro that does it natively but also not all developers provide an AppImage which is a shame, i cant stress enough how much easier AppImages were for me to understand the very first day i switched.

I haven't said that distros push for AppImages, I said that i hope distros will catchup to what AppImages are offering to the entire Linux system, even without distros directly supporting AppImages they still work with minimal effort integrating them into the system. there is no distribution that has a native way of simply detecting AppImages and making them part of the system yet, but since more and more developers provide their apps via AppImages as the main distribution option i hope Linux dsitros will catch up and come to some sort of standard of integrating AppImages natively with out any user intervention. The only issue that integration with the system (icons and such) needs to be done by the user or by a daemon of sort. You can also place your apps in what ever folder you want. You can even run multiple versions of the same software at once. they're easy to understand, their bigger size is a non issue, We are not in the 90's with 100mb only drives so it simply doesn't matter, and most of all, they simply WORK. The best format in my opinion is AppImages, they're literally what Linux needs to become the mainstream 'OS'. this is VERY frustrating about Linux in general. As a new comer to Linux i realized that due to the plethora of package managing options not a single one is fully integrated nor supported nor polished. This along issues with snaps and local repositories being constantly out of date has frustrated me to a point I've switched back to macOS multiple times before committing and trying to somehow manage this mess.
